Open Wide

The Lord has been speaking to me lately about one word:

Psalm 81:10

New Living Translation (NLT)

The first scripture that comes to my mind is:
Psalm 81:10
New Living Translation (NLT)

10 For it was I, the Lord your God,

who rescued you from the land of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things.

This is such a comforting thought to know that He will fill our mouths with good things if we only open our mouths like little baby birds!  Wow, awesome.

But there is more...

He began to show me more meanings to this scripture.

He told me He wants us to have more than just an open mouth.  This is what He said to me:

He wants all His children to have:

  • Open HANDS to uplift and encourage others
  • Open HEARTS to seek His Presence and pray
  • Open MINDS to the vastness of His Kingdom
  • Open WALLETS to give and share with the needy
  • Open LIVES for all to see...transparent and true
  • Open EYES to see others as He sees them
  • Open MOUTHS not only to receive from our Heavenly Father but to speak a Word to the weary
  • Open EARS to hear Him from Heaven

Are we listening today...are we OPEN to all that He is saying and doing?

If we are CLOSED in these areas He simply cannot use us...

His hands are bound.

We MUST open our:
          • Hands
          • Hearts
          • Minds
          • Wallets
          • Lives
          • Eyes
          • Mouths
          • Ears
Lord help us today to remain open to Your voice,
to do Your Will,
and be the Light of the world.

God's Oldest Friends

God's Oldest Friends
(A message to the Wild Olive Branches)

Recently the Lord has been speaking to me about Israel, the Jewish people, and their role in the end time events.
Many Christians seem to leave them completely out of the picture as if we have superseded them.
Some assume that they are no longer relevant to God's plan.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

This olive tree is over one thousand years old

A Complete Israel
25-29 I want to lay all this out on the table as clearly as I can, friends. This is complicated. It would be easy to misinterpret what's going on and arrogantly assume that you're royalty and they're just rabble, out on their ears for good. But that's not it at all. This hardness on the part of insider Israel toward God is temporary. Its effect is to open things up to all the outsiders so that we end up with a full house.
Before it's all over, there will be a complete Israel.   As it is written,
   A champion will stride down from the mountain of Zion;
      he'll clean house in Jacob.
And this is my commitment to my people:
      removal of their sins.

From your point of view as you hear and embrace the good news of the Message, it looks like the Jews are
God's enemies.
But looked at from the long-range perspective of God's overall purpose, they remain
God's oldest friends.
God's gifts and God's call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.

30-32 There was a time not so long ago when you were on the outs with God. But then the Jews slammed the door on him and things opened up for you. Now they are on the outs. But with the door held wide open for you, they have a way back in. In one way or another, God makes sure that we all experience what it means to be outside so that he can personally open the door and welcome us back in.

33-36 Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It's way over our heads. We'll never figure it out.

Is there anyone around who can explain God?
Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do?
Anyone who has done him such a huge favor
that God has to ask his advice?

Everything comes from him;
Everything happens through him;
Everything ends up in him.

Always glory! Always praise!

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Romans 11:25-36 MSG

Grafted in Wild Olive Branches

We as the Body of Christ need to recognize and pray for Israel and the Jewish people.  It is clear in God's Word that they remain God's people even though many are stubborn and blind.
He loves them with an everlasting love and with an everlasting covenant.
(Genesis Chapter 17)
Their salvation is critically linked to our own eternal hope.
We need to lift up every Jew in every nation especially in Israel.
Only when we realize our responsibility to pray will the Father hear from heaven and answer swiftly.

It is His desire that all come in...Jew AND Gentle alike.
Until His glorious return...
Not one missing!

My Vivid Forever Dream

In August of 1975 I had a special dream.
It was such a vivid dream that I can remember the details like it was last night.

In my dream I was hanging from a sheer cliff in a basket,
much like the basket of the men of Tibet pictured here:

The cliff was so high that there were clouds below.
You could not see the bottom of the cliff from the basket.

There were many others also hanging in their individual baskets at different levels on the face of the cliff.
Some were above me and many were below.

Each basket was hung by three long braided ropes attached at the rim.
The ropes were attached to a strong iron nail placed deep into the face of the cliff.

The sun was shining in a clear blue sky. There was a soft breeze.

The baskets began to sway gently;
And as the breeze increased they bounced against the sheer rock.

Within minutes the breeze turned into a strong wind.
Soon my basket was hitting the rock violently.

One rope broke leaving only two to hold me in place.
When this happened I looked down as the basket tipped slightly.
All I could see were clouds below as if I was miles above any ground.

Then the second rope snapped.

My basket tipped sideways, then completely upside down
and I began to free-fall at an ever increasing speed.

The fear that gripped me was intense.

I was sure to die.

There would be no rescue for me.

As I was falling at lightening speed
a huge bird swooped beneath me and caught me on his wings.

I felt the incredible power of his strong wings lift me up against the wind
on to a steady course.
I held on to him with all my might.

He began to speak to me.
As he spoke I could tell that this was the Lord.

His voice was gentle but strong.
Just the sound of his voice gave me peace.

We began to fly around the world.

The strong wind was replaced by a warm gentle breeze.

He showed me many places and cities around the globe.

He was so proud to show me his wonderful creation.

The beautiful green valleys,
the massive azure seas,
the stark desert places,
his beloved animal kingdom.

All something he loved so dearly.

As the full moon began to rise over a hill, there was a silence and peace like no other.

By the time we got to Bankok and other cities,
it was night and you could see the beautiful sparkling lights below.

The beauty was breathtaking.

We continued through the night visiting many places and seeing
the vastness of this beautiful planet.

By daybreak we had made full circle back to my home.

It was time for him to leave me in my place on this earth.

There was nothing but stillness and peace now.

The fear had completely gone.

His strength had become mine.
His peace was now my peace.

All was well now.
No need to question or explain.

It was understood.

All is well.

Within one week of this dream Sunday, August 31, 1975 at 10:30 p.m.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour
and started on this journey.

It continues to be breathtaking.

Vision beyond the veil

The vision tarries, though the seed be planted.
Anticipation looms large as ordinary days lumber on.
No fretting, no sweating, only deep pensive moments
that linger sweet on the tip of my soul.

I have but one Love, one Goal, one strong Passion.
There is only one Allegiance of my heart.
One Road alone leads to the Bliss.

My eyes strain to behold this gleaming Jewel,
shimmering just beyond the veil that shrouds clear sight.

It is enough to know what awaits.
This mere glimpse grants a profound peace

and my world-weary steps are once again enlivened.

I leap...
to join the soldier's stride.
